EYES

A gaze sharp enough to catch even
the briefest blink-less a glance,
more an unraveling. The light didn’t
just see; it slipped in, uninvited,
threading through places you
thought were hidden. The pupil,
black as night, held a silence that
wasn’t hollow-it was full of knowing.
Curious, but never kind.

It lingered-long enough to judge, not
long enough to forgive. And in that
half-second, it said nothing-yet
somehow, it made you feel the
weight of your own choice.
You looked away.
Ashamed.

But it was just a blink.
A blink of an eye-
and somehow, it saw everything.
